Hi everyone I have a 1960 El camino I noticed the cowl vent/grill (sits below the windscreen)has dead leaves underneath it. Is there any way I can get a vacuum hose into this area without removing the grille?
Also I removed about a wheel barrow load (no joke)of dead leaves from the inside of the front fenders and where the bottom door hinge pocket bolts into. Trying to workout how all these passages are connected so I can clean them out.
this car must have been parked under a tree for a very long time.
Thanks in advance

You can remove the interior kick panel vents and go at the cowl ventilation system from that direction, but seems like it would be much easier to just remove the top grille and work from there.

If you decide to take the cowl vent off, make sure you get some PB Blaster under the windshield wiper pivot arm before you try to get the wiper arms off.
I mentioned PB Blaster because it is the very best penetrant I've ever used.
