I just pulled the pump out of the tank and found the short rubber hose between the pump motor and the hard line had a 3/4" crack in it. if Chevy does not have this hose, what is are my options?
I will not use Gates hose as I have seen it get hard as a rock and leak. True Value has clear hose with the braided fiber in it. I dont know how it would do submerged all the time.
thoughts and or help?
thanks guys

Look for "R9" fuel line (NAPA?) that is fuel injection hose rated for operating in fuel.

Condemning Gates hose because it got hard isn't a good reason, as it may have been the wrong hose or maybe it was affected by ethanol, it was ancient, or a number of other reasons.

You need fuel injection hose rated for the pressure, no matter the brand.

To add to what Rick posted as well it needs to be designed to be submerged. Gates has specific hose for being submerged which is not the same as their normal FI fuel line. Here is the PN for short lengths of 3/8" and 5/16":

Gates Fuel Line Hose - Submersible 27097 3/8" X 12" (ONE PER PKG) (27097)

Gates Fuel Line Hose - Submersible 27093 5/16" X 12" (ONE PER PKG) (27093)
