Anybody got any ideas of the best way to clean/polish valve covers? What are they made of - some kind of pot metal?

Jewelers rouge and a buffing wheel can polish them if that's what you're looking for. I had a place buff mine and they look like chrome.

I had a prominent west-coast Corvette restorer tumble a set I have. They came out perfectly clean. These are not polished.
