I have a motor listed for sale in the local area, on Craigslist.

A guy is interested in it, but he was to put it in place of a 110. Would the 110 carbs fit on the 140, if you put a block-off plate over 1 carb on each side?

My 140 has a center mounted 2 bbl, w/a a 4 runner spider.

Would that fit under the hood.

Except for perhaps jetting the 110 carbs are virtually the same as the primary carbs used on the 140. The seconary carb opening on the 140 heads can be blocked off and the throttle linkage from the 110 will work. The 140 air cleaner set up will, of course, not work with a 2 carb set up but that's easy to fix. And, yes, it will all fit under the engine cover with no problem.

The 4-runner manifold for the 2-barrell carb will also fit under the engine cover. Air cleaner will have to be carefully chosen.
