Hello everyone. My 1941 Chevy has the original 216 ci engine and the side cover is leaking. I have purchased a new gasket and I'm ready to install it but I have a couple of questions.

At the bottom rear corner of the side cover is it possible to get that bolt out without removing the starter or not. I'd rather not have to do that if I don't need to. I will be disconnecting the ground cable for safety.

Any advise will be much appreciated.

Thanks....Phil

If it a stove bolt screw get an off set screw driver. I replaced that particular screw with a bolt.

Thank you 2blu. I am not sure what kind of bolt it is yet, but did yours clear the starter? My starter is a 12 volt standard size unit.

Thanks again....Phil
