I have the Terminator 550-405k system. The files were erased from the sd card unit. I downloaded files back to sd card and powered the vehicle. Searching for ecu. Called Holley tech. They walk me through unzipping the supplied files and placing back on the sd card. Same thing, no ecu. After a week going back and fourth they tell me to send the ecu to trouble shoot. I get a a phone call from Holley's tech department today saying the unit is bricked and cannot be recovered. They have no answers to provide and I am pretty much out the ecu. I ask to speak to the manager or someone who may have somewhat of an explanation. The manager gets on the phone and says "yep its potted". No explanation how or why. I understand he is only relaying what he has been told but the way it was said and his next solution may keep me from ever buying anything affiliated with Holley again. I ask him if he could work out something to replace the unit. He then says "Sure, for $1,128 I can send you a new ECU". As you would figure the conversation went down hill from there. My intentions are not to defame Holley but to provide and aware potential customers how they "work" with existing customers. I will update if any sort of resolution comes out.

    In response to Hkvan

Potted means the case is filled with a material that fills the case and seals the boards after it's partly assembled. This means there is no way to get to the PC boards to fix it.

How old was it?
