Moving on to the dash, I put in some Dynamat Xtreme, but ran out and need to order another kit. I bought the door kit because it had smaller pieces and would be easier to work with. I also have a roll of Dynaliner, the stickie-backed foam. That goes on today. I'm anxious to get this done so I can start putting the dash together.

You have so similar things what I'm gonna do also.
(I'm only using STP Black Gold, it's much cheaper and it's similar than Dynamat. Also put CTK elastic (like Dynaliner))

It's available here on ebay.com, $168.00us, for the bulk pack, 24 sq ft. On Ebay.de, it's 62,50eur, $73.00us. I paid $69.00us, for the door kit, 12 sq ft. Maybe I'm off on my conversions?

I take a quick look, it seems that STP and Dynamat are quite same price now (in here Finland)(??). Anyway I have a fixed price, much lower than the list price. I'm gonna wear all inside, roof, wall, floor...in sedan delivery there's lot of sq/ft....

Thought I'd post this up quick. I lost the passenger fresh air because of the AC evaporator and I filled in both firewall holes for the vent cables, but I came up with a work-around for the drivers side vent. I moved the vent control to the left of the column, rotated the vent 90 deg, and used the existing hood release cable hole. easy peasy!

I eliminated the fresh air vents thinking I had to make room for the A/C, and wouldn't need them anyway. Sometimes I wish they were still there, so good idea to keep them if you can. Did you get the rack offset dilemma solved?
Keep up the good work!

Barring from redesigning the crossmember, the steering rack setup is what it is. Never read about any issues. so, I've moved on. Today, I'm finishing up on the Dynamat & Dynaliner. Yesterday, I had to stop due to reaction my 2nd vax shot, but today, all is well!

Came across a NOS hood for the 49 on craigslist. The halves had the PN's stenciled and lots of dust. Paid $250 for it.

Wow! What are the chances finding NOS body parts like that. I would never have guessed you could buy a half a hood, or a hood with "some assembly" required. If there ever was an assembly kit included, it is probably long lost. Great find!
