Looks good. Is all of the body work done or just this side of the car?

I wish! The left side needs everything replaced, as well as the tail pan and front half of the floor. The up side is the PO did a good bondo job on it all, so it's not an eyesore.

Thanks, Dean! There's always something happening at the dragstrip. I can hear them run at my place, but in the 18 years I've been up here, I've never been there.

The right side sheet metal work started because the floor braces & floor were rotted and I had no place to secure the passenger bucket seat to. With all of that done, I can paint some of the floor and put the seats in. I put in a temporary floor patch until I decide if I'm going to make my own floor panels.

Another project I started was removing the gravel guard & rocker molding from the left side. The OEM guard didn't fit the EMS right side quarter, so I decided to take it off the left to even out the look of the car. The rocker molding is also going. The parts are going in storage. I think the PO used a gallon of bondo, a couple yards of screen, and galvanized tin "fixing" the rot on the left side. That's another project!

We finally made some progress on the 49 , or as it's called in the shop, Snowball, as in snowball effect. I finished the temporary body work on the left quarter & rocker panel, and installed the trim,

Today, the splash pan and bumper went on. Not much, but it's something. Next is sanding and painting the heater core housing.

Today, I finished up the closeouts that hide the bucket seat brackets. I even played with the bead roller. Kat gave me a hand and turned the crank. What a woman! Tomorrow they get paint.

Thanks, Keith! This was my first real bead rolling job. I've made flanges, but not beads. I just found a drive system for the roller at Eastwood, so that's my next purchase.

We've been busy the last couple days. The front clip's on, radiator's in, and everything's hooked up but the battery.

Rust never sleeps! The front splash pan has some rusted out holes, so those spots have to be repaired and then the pan and some other pieces are going to powdercoat. I found it's cheaper and easier to have some of the sheet metal parts sandblasted and powdercoated than me stripping and painting them. Kat took in 2 vintage school desks and I took 4 small splash panels, steering gear cover, and 2 heater core box pieces. Kat's desks were $36 and my 7 pieces were $27. So now, I'm repairing the rest of the front splash panels so those can get done.
