Replaced the fog lights on my 2001 chevy Silverado 1500.They will not come on.what I've done so far i used my 1999 Silverado for troubleshooting purposes. First I replaced the fuse and relay. Then I replaced the switch. The 1999 fog lights come on with swapped parts. What am I missing here? Surely the bcm was programmed for the fog lights as they where stock.I could do the diode fix and just use dim lights to trigger the fog light relay
but I would like it to work stock.

    In response to sprog777

so you added foglamps to the truck?
As far as I know it should be plug and play in that year but anything is possible.
I suggest that you look for the negative trigger at the relay.
There will be 4 pins likely
2 positive, 1 negative, 1 trigger(-)
You want the pin that is - when the foglamp switch is on.
If that does not happen it may very well be not programmed for the option.
