Ok, did a high performance rebuild on my th350 and on initial test drive I had virtually no reverse...slipped badly. Also drive slipped but low gear was solid. I didn't drive it further to test how it shifted for fear of burning up some clutches. I had used a b & m shift kit so I removed the valve body and discovered the separator plates were really loose and not torqued properly. After I reinstalled it reverse magically worked now and low worked as before, however drive still slips. What should I check...I'm thinking of checking transmission pressure etc. Any ideas?

Ok, so you didn't have this issue before rebuilding the trans? Manual low is ok, drive is not? You should pressure test it in drive, but I think something may be wrong in the valve body, or a broken sealing ring. No quick answer here, a number of things can cause this.

Suspect you are correct about the valve body...however I will pressure test it in drive and go from there thx
