Looking for some advice. I am installing the molding on the rear window of my 63 impala. The top two pieces went right on, but the center piece on the bottom does not want to catch the clips. Am I missing something or do I have the wrong clips?

Do you have the 4 clips installed that are in the middle picture of back and side stainless molding set of reveal mldg and mounting clips for 62 to 64 Hardtops?
They slide into the lower stainless piece "only one way" and they matchup with the reveal molding clips.

I have the clips installed in the two wrap around pieces, just can't get the center piece they connect to, to snap over the clips. Hoping it is not a bad set of clips or the wrong ones.

The four clips in the middle of the picture are they for the bottom of the window frame? If so then I installed the wrong clips on the bottom. The ones I installed were the same as the top. The four clips do they attach with screws as the others do? Sounds like I may have to pull the window out and change the clips.

There are no screws that hold the stainless piece that sits against the rear window rubber on 62 to 64 Hardtops

The only screws(actually hex nuts on mounting studs) for the bottom of the 1962 2 door Hardtop rear glass are on a extra pot metal chrome (with black painted inserts) that "fits over the stainless trim" that sits against the lower windshield rubber.

I took some pictures of the stainless trim and the slide in clips for the lower rear stainless -I will post them later today

here are the pictures. The first picture shows the 62 Chevy Hardtop pot metal piece(bottom of the picture) -only used on 62 Hardtops... + the lower stainless and one clip(there are 3 to 4 slide in clips are used on the stainless)

The single clip and lower 62 to 64 2 door Hardtop stainless is in the next two pictures.

I appreciate all the time for the replies. I sat and thought until I had a headache. I had thought about having the wrong clips and having to pull the rear window. Out of desperation I looked at all my old clips which with luck I had bagged and tagged. The note said rear window lower molding two piece clip. Amazing how much a person forgets after disassembly 15 years ago. Molding now installed.
