Put the cam in,bolted up retainer plate, mounted cam sprocket and tightened sprocket to cam.I can turn it with one hand, but surely it should have some end play.I did a measurement and from what it looks like I have .002" of preload on the Torrington....Maybe make a shim to put between the sprocket and cam mounting boss'?How much end play does it need?

I was thinking my cam card told what it should be.

Usually a roller cam is subject to screwing it self forward, if you have one it might be on the cam card. But .010 is what I aim for.

Not on my cam card......I got a different timing set and I'm at .003",drivers' side of chain looks pretty close to the face of the block but doesn't seem to be in contact.
