Hey everyone,

I am the owner of a 94' C1500 with a 350 TBI engine.

I have a big oil leak on top of my intake manifold, behind the air filter. I suspect its coming from either the OPS or the Distributor.

Does the distributor have an O-Ring AND a paper gasket between the manifold and the Distr. or only an O-ring?

More than likely the intake needs to be resealed. The front and rear of it is sealed with black RVT.

Your post states that the oil leak is on top of the intake manifold, behind the air filter. The distributor uses a paper gasket only, but I've never seen a significant leak there because there's not a lot to force oil out that seal. If your engine is worn out (blowby), and the PCV valve is plugged, then there might be some pressure there forcing oil out. Another possibility is the oil breather tube that typically goes from the valve cover to the spacer between the air filter and TBI. Again, if there's a lot of blowby, the oil can get forced into that tube and leak out. If the PCV valve is working properly, there shouldn't be much pressure there. You can check for blowby pressure by removing the oil filler cap and feeling for air movement out the filler with the engine running.
The more common oil leak, as Junkman104 mentioned, is the intake manifold gasket at the back of the engine. Air currents can drive oil up from that gasket and make it look like the leak is on top of the manifold, so check for excessive oil on top of the bellhousing first before you investigate other possibilities.
