'93 Silverado with floor shifter: It makes a clicking sound when trying to disengage (sounds near the hub) but eventually stops after a long time (I imagine the end of a spline or coupling getting damaged). Additional information: The actuator is new (thermal type, non-GM). Also, one time the front-end strangly "bucked" - a very rigid feeling, and nothing was exteriorly visible. (Although possibly unrelated to the engaging, my guess is that was a cruch in the differential.) It's currently "useable" but not without regret. Is this a worn half-shaft?

You sure the shifter is going all the way into gear? It sounds like the actuator is sticking.
