The small wheel will exaggerate the faster steering even more.

Those who choose an automatic transmission want transportation. Those who choose a manual transmission want to drive.

Going to be doing the power steering upgrade on a 55 sedan. Do I need to replace the pitman & drag link? Original manual car.

Welcome to Chevy Talk.

No need to change the manual linkage stuff if you go with the 500 gear and its siblings. I would replace the link and idler bushings if they are worn, and make sure the pitman arm ball is not out of round.

Ok so I'm getting a little confused, I have received my complete front suspension rebuild kit.so I'm thinking all I need is the 500 power steering box right? Than I read some more on suspensions and it seems like there is a difference between a manual steering & power steering suspensions. So did get the wrong parts or not. So here are the parts I got from Danchuk complete front suspension rebuild kit part #18770 with 5 degree positive caster upper control arm, so can someone tell me if this will all work with 500 power steering box.

I went to the Danchuk website and looked up your part number, and it said it will work on any 55-57 Chevy. And yes, it will work with a 500 box.
