Hey all.
Just wondering about replacing front cab supports on a 79 C10. The rockers are gone and in to about half of the cab support. The rest of the support is solid all the way around. Should I try to cut the support and replace the outside half or try to replace the whole support, I would like to see it all new but.... i also don't see sense in ripping apart perfectly shiny like new metal structure.

You can splice it in if you want to. They just did that on a square body on Truck Tech on the Spike channel. Personally I thought it would be easier and a better repair to just replace the whole thing. But I guess if you do your best to rust proof the welds where it is spliced, either repair will last a long time.

Some days it's not worth chewing through the restraints.
