So I have a 94 Chevy Caprice Classic 9C1 LT15.7 Engine!!

my starter went out well my solenoid I guess but my original starter is a small one right.....
So someone gave me a remanufactured high torque starter and it is much larger im trying to wonder would this fit or is there another way around this problem cause I don't have 200 for a brand new one

Don't know why you posted this here, but if the replacement you have is bigger than the one that's on there now, it's not the right one.

Unfortunately the 94 LT1 starter (at least the one I have for a Camaro) doesn't have a replaceable solenoid, if that's what indeed is wrong. The 95 model starters did have a replaceable solenoid. You should be able to get a rebuilt starter for either a 94 or 95 at any auto supply, for far less than $200.

Your "bigger" starter many bolt right in and work, or it may have clearance problems because it's bigger. But it's a step back from the correct starter.

Jegs has many starters that look like they would work for under $200.
Maybe you can compare your friends gift to the one's shown.
