Since Photobucket has hijacked everyone's 3rd party posting of pictures, the article I put together in the sticky section will no longer show the pictures.
So, I now have a PDF of the article, with pictures, and hopefully it will attach here.
Looks like it worked, so if someone wants to make this a new sticky, that will be OK with me.

The title says 56-62 Chevy. It SHOULD say 56-62 Corvette and 55-64 pass car. Sorry about that.

Tom,
Thank you for posting this again. It's a GREAT resource that you've spent a lot of time to put together to help everyone.

Tom, I'll put it in the new Reference Area so it won't disappear again. Give me a couple of days!

Hi Tom, I have a 1960 dana Power Lok diff that im rebuilding and I have a question on the clutch packs. Will the Spicer 22233X kit work if I take 2 of the thick steels from the kit and have them surface ground to .060" ?I know that kit is for a dana 44 and not the GM55p. dont have two good old ones to re use.reason for asking is the yukon kit for it is $165 and the Spicer is like $60-70.Its going in my 55 Chevy street cruizer so dont need race car parts.Any advice you can give is appreciated. Thanks Tom. Brad,
Yes, you can use the DANA clutch pack and surface down 2 of the ~.090 plates to ~.060. Also, when built the thin plates were installed on the END of the clutch pack. If only one side of your thin plates is worn but the other side is OK, simply flip them over and re-install.

Also, here is a PDF I put together on converting a non-posi to posi center section.
