Is anyone familiar with the “Restrictor” that is shown in the picture. I don’t remember anything like this being there but then I don’t remember what I did yesterday . Thanks in advance, Lamar

Yeah, it keeps a little back pressure on the coolant in the heater core. Keeps the air out of the flow, thus no cold spots in the core.

Thanks Griff, I found the long nipple for the water pump but haven't found that short one yet but if I do maybe it will still have the restrictor. Thanks a bunch, Lamar
