Is there a quality high gloss clear coat that is not as expensive as PPG, Dupont or House of Kolor (this is to be used on the frame and underbody panels)?

Thank you for the help

So you want to use a cheap clear on the parts of your car that are exposed to more stone chips than anywhere else? Just remember, you get what you pay for.

The short answer is, no.

I agree with kool53. Spend a little more and you will be happy with the result.

I just LOVE Nason clearcoat. You just throw it on there & it flows out like cream & dries mirror-smooth. Nason is supposed to be the cheaper DuPont range, but I wouldn't use anything else. I might point out that I'm originally from the UK, and paint in the US is frighteningly pricey compared to the UK. I suspect this might be the fault of the EPA? But the Nason range is better than anything I've used in the UK.
