Someone installed a Summit carb on my 327 at some point.
As I'm an idiot, I forgot how many turns out the idle needles were when I removed them to clear the passages.
Anyone know off hand the stock idle needle turn outs of this carb? Can't find mention of it in ANY of the Summit carb literature.

Thanks.

As a rule of thumb,I would turn them all the way in,and back them out 2 turns for a starting point, and go from there.

Late yr model (Dec. 51 BelAir/ 52 trim), with a basically stock 67 Camaro SS350/295hp Turbo Fire Edelbrock 1405, Saginaw 4spd/355 geared 55/6 Chevy rear.2,1st place, and 1 top five award trophies so far

I'm trying to figure out if these are air screws or fuel screws.
Easy to tell on most motorcycle carbs, but I don't know on this.
Is clockwise richer or leaner?
None of the videos on youtube specify.

I just did this on my 64 Impala. They start at 1.5 turns out. But you need to play with them each and get as much vacuum as possible at idle. I got 20lbs at idle on mine.
I used manifold vacuum. Hook a vacuum gauge up to the port and adjust each screw to the max vacuum setting. Also make sure both screws are turned the same turns.
