Brand new to this forum, A&P mechanic here working on my brother in law's 1926 chevy truck. My question is how does the idle/low speed assy pick up fuel from the carb bowl? Does the diagonal jet pick up fuel through part of the vertical jet? The diagonal jet I have doesn't have a hole thru it. Thanks in advance in clearing this has good fire and will run for a second with a shot of starting fluid but wont pick up its own fuel.....good fire and all too.....have cleaned out the carb but am curious as to how it gets fuel thru the idle circuit...thanks again....

The idle tube (low speed jet) has a tiny (#71 drill size) hole just above the threaded plug, which some over-exuberant enthusiast may have plugged with solder.

Good carburetion is fuelish hot air!

The most expensive carburetor you will ever the incorrect one you attempt to modify!

If you truly believe "one size fits all", trying walking a mile in your spouse's shoes!
