I have a small vibration in my floor shifter at higher Rpm's.
DOES THE CLUTCH HAVE TO BE DIALED IN WITH A DIAL INDICATER WHEN INSTALLED WITH THE BOLTS STILL LOOSE?
THERE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE MUCH PLAY IF ANY IN THE BOLT HOLES WHEN ALL 6 BOLTS ARE IN PLACE, AND IS THERE A GOOD PLACE TO SET THE DIAL INDICATOR POINTER ON THE CENTER FORCE DUAL FRICTION PRESSURE PLATE WHILE DOING THIS?
EVERYTHING IN MY MALIBU IS NEW OR REBUILT INCLUDING A NEW DRIVESHAFT (SPUN BALANCED AT HIGH RPM, TWICE!)AND THE MUCCI M22 ROCK CRUSHER TRANY HAD ALL NEW BEARINGS AND SEALS INSTALLED SO IT NOW LEADS ME TO THE CLUTCH/DISC/FLYWHEEL ASSEMBLY.

In response to 1980 MALIBU 406 CU. IN.

I have never heard of a pressure plate needing to be dialed in. Sometimes a bellhousing needs to be dialed in, but that's a whole different story.

Those who choose an automatic transmission want transportation. Those who choose a manual transmission want to drive.
