Getting ready to replace the 8 body mounts on this vette, should be fun!
Picking up at the customers house,
In the shop safe and sound,
It's eviction time! No squatters allowed.
Upon taking the rocker moldings off I noticed the lower fender bolts that secure the splash shields behind the front tires are pulled through. This will be sorted.
Someone replaced the lower rubbers on the front mounts, I guess it was a start lol.
I wonder home many years the spare tire was sitting in its holder before I removed it lol. The rim is rusted out beyond saving.
One would think there would be drain holes in this spare tire support. Going to clean it out and have a better look, if I can't find any some will be drilled.
Until next time, had to replace the starter on my wifes car so that took up most of the day LOL.

THE #2 MOUNT WAS KINDA CRAPPY ON MY OLD 78,THE REST WERE DECENT,THE PO'S NEVER OR NEVER KNEW TO KEEP THE COWL DRAINS CLEAR,I JUST CLEANED IT UP ETC,IT WAS JUST A BEAT'R ANYWAY,GOOD LUCK WITH THE PROJECT  & YES THE E-BRAKE DID WORK  REDID THE CALIPERS,HOSES,LINES, 1/2 SHAFT U-JOINTS ETC,ETC.
IM GETTEN OLDER NOW,SO NOT AS MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE C'4'S

Well the rear metal pockets were a lot worst than we first thought.
the braces on the frame are a little worst for wear as well.
As you can see the #4 mount bolt had to be cut 
So did the #3 mount on the right side, nothing like taking a plasma cutter to a fiberglass car! I wrapped a piece of metal around the back side to protect it from the flame.
So now we wait for parts

I definitely can be!
Got all the body mounts installed, here is a pic of the right rear one,
Door jambs done,
Touched up the headlight buckets,
All the little trim parts done,
hopefully into the booth by the end of the week.

We finally got the vette in the booth!
This is the third of four coats of paint. It's a single stage urathane in butternut yellow.
Now it's out of the booth in the front shop to cure for a day before wet sanding and polish.
Here we are just after wet sanding. we touched up the frame and wheel wells in black.
And cleaning the wheels/tires.
Tomorrow we polish and hopefully Friday we'll have it all back together for delivery to the customer.

Those are aftermarket rims, Tat. I had some on a '56 wagon once...
Nice '73, wonder why he went with that color?? Had a '69 442 that color back in the day.
