I am putting a serpentine belt system on a 350 chevy engine. It will hooker headers. I can't put the braces on the engine because of the headers, and the Edlebrock intake. Will this cause problems?

By "braces", do you mean the mounting brackets for the various components? If yes, how do you expect the affected components to remain in place?

Those who choose an automatic transmission want transportation. Those who choose a manual transmission want to drive.

No I am not talking about the brackets. There are braces that go to the intake to the AC unit. I think they stop the AC and ALT from vibrating and breaking the brackets. I am not sure tho.

These things have problems enough when they are installed with all the parts they are supposed to have. Trying to get by without the braces is just asking for trouble.

If the braces furnished with the components can't be used, I suggest that you fab custom braces which can be attached to existing bolts or holes on the intake manifold, thermostat housing, water pump, or head. You could also check first with whoever supplied the serpentine system, but don't hold out too much hope.

Thanks everyone. I decided to buy a serpentine belt system from alangrovecomponents.com.
