So I've been chipping away at my baby for a few years and I'm looking at restoring the exterior/interior and either rebuilding the motor or replacing her. Just looking for some input. She is a '75 Camaro LT with the stock 350. The interior has been completely ripped out as the previous owner took no care, The exterior needs a new front end (grille, fender extensions for headlamps, grille strap) there is also some missing chrome pieces and badges. The motor runs but I floated a valve back in my young days doing a burnout in drive

Well, I know this is an old thread BUT

I would rebuild the engine. Of course, if you're not into that, prolly best to just get a crate engine. I've heard a lot of good things about some of the GM crate engines. I think it might be hard to beat one by building your own anyway. That being said, you could always hobble your car around(fixing only what needs to be to run it) for a while as you finish up the rest of the restoration while rat-holing money away for a new engine too. Maybe something special. I too will be dealing with this soon as well.

If it don't go, chrome it!
