I have a 1990 Celebrity Eurosport Wagon and the blower motor is very loud on high speed only. I have tightened all the bolts but it is still loud. It seems as though the blending doors are not closing completely and also change depending if I am stopped at idle or moving at speed. Does this mean I have to tear out the whole dash to fix this?

Take the blower motor out and look for evidence of vermin. AKA insulation and turds.

I took it partially out (to take it all the way out I would have to remove at least the alternator and maybe more) and didn't see anything in the fan wheel itself. Would there be debris anywhere else?

Might be but debris and unbalance makes a heck of a racket and vibration.

Well, I tried to take a look into the blower system to see if there is a mouse nest anywhere (or any other problems)and it was a disaster. I tried taking the dash plate off around the radio and the cigarette lighter would not release. It supposedly has a nut on the backside holding it in but nothing is there and nothing unscrews so I couldn't continue. I tried to get the passenger side dash off and instead of clips to hold it in place, it's screwed in from the backside and I could only get to the bottom 2 through the glovebox so I had to give up on that. I tried to remove the heater core to see if I could see anything from there and after taking all the plastic out of the way only 1 bolt is 7mm like all the rest of the bolts for the dash, the other 3 are not metric or standard, but some other unknown size (british perhaps?) so the whole day was a waste of time. I can only imagine how much a shop would charge for working on a nightmare like this.
