Hello everyone

I am in need of some help.

I recently purchased a 1985 Caprice Landau Coupe...and I just can't figure out what's missing! I attached some photos. I found & purchased the rear chrome window trim, but it doesn't cover up that space. Any ideas? It's either a part that is missing or the positioning of the rear deck and trunk is off.

Thanks!

I'm far from an expert, but ... just looking at your pics, it would APPEAR the part between the back window & the trunk lid is mis-positioned. The angle of the pic makes it look like there is almost no gap between the trunk lid & that part. The chrome trim along the bottom of the rear window should be enough to cover that space.....

Thank you very much, knightfan2691. Your response has confirmed my suspicions. It has a custom paint job and I believe that was a neglected area when it was put back together. I'll take it to a body shop and see what they can do. Thank you so much!

You are welcome, Collin. I wondered if it had been repainted. Hopefully the body shop can fix the issue for you!
