Running out of ideas. Car was fine until I move the hot cold to hot for defrost and stayed there cuz cable broke. Manually put it back closed and then it starts boiling in overflow. Changed water pump and thermostat and will boil over within a mile. I replaced radiator cap and within a mile the heater hose on the motor side burst. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. I am a retired disabled military veteran And this vehicle is my only way to n from the doctor's. Thank you and God bless.

Hi Batman,

Really sounds like your new thermostat is defective. I would remove it and replace with a Gates or Stant Super stat. 180 degrees.
