My new 2016 Z06s rotors (stock rotors, not ceramic) are all warped. The car only has 6800 miles on it and no racing. I bedded in the brakes per the instructions I got when I picked it up at the NCM, and I was on one 'Taste of the Track', a couple 20 min. sessions of lead/follow ("spirited parade lap") at Laguna Seca at about 50%. The Chevy dealer also said my brake pads were down 1/4. This is ridiculous. Anyone else heard of this problem?

Thanks for the link. Interesting. The dealer replaced mine at no charge. Seeing that others have had them replace more than once, I wonder if Chevy will pay for all of them.

CB,

I found out by stumbling into it that there are a lot of recalls on various vehicles that are not announced.
There are different categories of recall :Pubic Safety (these are announced to the public):owner requested (these are nucense problems that don't involve safety):Service recalls (taken care of at your next dealer service.

The wearing brakes may be a nucense recall and they won't do anything until the owner requests it.

About once a year I turn in my vin number to a dealer and request a recall check. You would be surprised at what they correct.

Ours developed heat cracks at 18,000. Call Powerstop. They made 5 sets of rears that are high carbon. We had the first set. Last I heard he had a couple sets left. They recommended their extreme pads and track day rotors. We race a lot and drive on the street a lot. They haven't done high carbon for front.

I was worried they wouldn't work well on street...but they do. last weekend we had a race and it was cold. I went out on the road course to do a little burn out to clean the crap off our drag radials. The front brakes wouldn't hokd...and they are stock. So I got em a little warm then they worked. So far the power stops have been great. And they have 198 quarter mile (10.17 144 mph) passes and 30 half mile (162mph)passes...and 3000 miles. And they were installed at the beginning of september
