Haven't tried to read codes, not sure if my reader will pick up anything as I don't have the ABS package. I'm guessing either a wheel speed or steering wheel position sensor. Need to keep a closer eye on the dash light to catch what the car is doing when the light comes on. It's a 2006, checking in case someone else has dealt with this issue.

To diagnose this accurately you need to scan for codes with an abs function scanner.

CEL lit and pulled 2 codes, P0449 and P0014. P0449 was a broken wire on connector at evap canister vent solenoid.
P0014 was bad cam advance solenoid. One of the symptoms was hard shifting after the car was warmed up, this was also when the Traction Lock light illuminated. My best guess is the hard shift created a wheel speed error when the engine over-rev'd on a hard shift. Anyway replacing the exhaust cam solenoid fixed the hard shifting and Traction Lock light hasn't lit.

great, usually this more complex in the abs system itself!

My traction light came on and so did the emergency brake light when I had an item under the brake lever by accident. The lever could not go clear back down so the lights came on. If I pushed the lever down the lights would go off. A small meter had slipped under the handle and was blocking it just enough to make the lights go. If I park and pull the brake handle, the lights both come on.

Any man that thinks he is too old to learn new things, probably always was....
