The tire chatter is a common problem on the C7 and has to do with the front steering geometry, tire size, and tire type. Go on the Corvette Forum ( http://www.corvetteforum.com ) and do a search for "ackerman". Here are a few links:

    In response to cbernhardt

This is especially common in cold weather. I just picked up my Z06 in Bowling Green on the 29th. For 3 days the temp ranged from mid 30s to mid 40s and every time I had the wheels on lock in a parking lot, gas station etc. the fronts really complained. Once I got in warmer weather, it happened far less often.
