The AC/Heater switch just decided not to work. It can be rotated all the way around now and will not turn the system on. The knob looks OK, so I guess the plastic in the switch itself has broken which will mean removal and replacement. Any guidance on how to do that? This car has low miles and not much use on the switch, so I am surprised it broke.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm assuming you've already rectified your situation, but it's common for the portion of the knob that receives the post that protrudes from the HVAC controls to break. Pull the knob off and see if that cylindrical portion is broken. You may be able to glue it back together and stick it back on the post. If not, get a replacement.
