Sorry to hear of Thadd's passing. He was one of the first people I met through Chevytalk. He was always friendly and cheerful with me, even when he was not doing well. Rest in Peace Thadd, we will all miss you.

My heart is saddened to hear of the passing of my friend Thadd. He was one of the first people I met on CT and we quickly became friends. He will be missed greatly as he made such a positive impact on my life and the life of my son Alex.

Sad news in deed. Genorocity, kindness, friendliness don't even begin to describe Thadd. May the good Lord Bless and keep his Spirit. Lindy and his whole family are in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to just hear of Thadd's passing
I met Thadd at CFAC many years ago, I always looked foreword each year to seeing and talking "old school" days in California (he used to run around the same places as my father).
He will always be missed.
Thoughts and prayers to his family

This struck me, Rodger, simply because it sounds very familiar. In 2006, I met a CTer, Dennis, in Oklahoma City OK. Long story short: back-in-the-day, he had my grandfather as a teacher in High School in rural OK. I still talk with Dennis & am actually working on an article for my website about the connections he has to my family, including my Mom & Uncle.
Small world, indeed.

Right on, Junior...
I couldn't tell you how many years ago I got to know Thadd online here at CT (we were both '55 Chevy owners at the time), then met him in person (and a whole bunch of you guys) at my first CFAC, one of my favorite car events! On one of my business trips over to check out a vendor I was buying from for the sugar industry over here, in 2008 I believe, I visited Thadd at his home, and he took me for a drive in his '55, with a fresh 700R4 tranny and a blower, even let me drive it a bit, I felt seriously honored that he let me do that...
RIP Thadd, you are remembered!

Folks, I am Thadd's firstborn, TK, (Thaddeus Kevin). To all who were able to make it to Dad's celebration, thank you! We miss him everyday, and thank God he was and is, a wonderful part of our lives. As for his wife, Lindy, and Daughter, Michelle, yes, they are preparing to move to Texas. The home has been sold and will be vacated by April 25th. Meanwhile, Dad gave me the Nomad and it now resides up north in Vacaville, CA. I hope you won't mind if I reach out for advice on occasion as I try to work through issues that may arise. Dad loved this forum and treasured the friends he made along the way. Thanks for welcoming him and his stories! TK

Hello TK. It's nice that you are joining us. I met your dad and got around him several times in the last 5 years, including that nice celebration event you guys put on recently. Thank you for doing that.
NailheadV8 (George), HYPR (Bob), SWBatt (Steve) and Tony are all from SoCal so we'd definatly like to see you get that Nomad on the road. There was a day we spent with your dad a couple of years ago now, where we pulled the engine out so he could get it rebuilt. He was frustrated with having to pay people for work, and then getting shoddy work at that. So we all jumped in and donated the time to pull the engine.
There are a few NorCal guys on the 55-57 Modified forum who would like to meet and help you out whenever you need it. Just throw up a new topic there, and we'll all chime in.
Thadd was about my dad's age...which means I'm probably about your age...a few of us "youngin's" here...
Take care.
