We had the plugs and wires changeed out at 49,000 miles. It now has about 64,000 miles on it. Obviously we don't drive it much anymore.
We have only put about 500 miles on it the last couple of years. Last summer it had a miss fire on # 4 and I changed out the plug, was ok. Now it has a miss fire on # 5 which I cannot change out. Could the gas be too old causing the problem. I did use Stabil a couple of time. Anything I can run through it that might get it to run correctly again?

Had a guy work on it and got it to pass smog, so it is good for two years. It still has a miss at idle and he feels it is injectors. Has anyone changed out the injectors on a 3.1 V6?

Changed out the injectors. Didn't help. Then ran a compression check on the front 3 cylinders and found # 6 @ 90 lbs and 2 & 4 at 120 lbs. # 6 was the one that was missing. Should have done the compression check first. It is now donated to public television. Could't afford to spend anymore on it.
