I was out today in the sunny weather driving and stopped to put the top down. I did so and when I got back in the car I started it and started to drive off. The engine died. I thought I had killed it by letting the clutch out to fast. I tried starting it again it started and died again. I looked down at the DIC display and it said remove key and weight 10 seconds? What gives what made the car do this?

Go here first: and pull the codes. The car will tell you what's up.

Write the codes down and post them here. Maybe then we can determine a solution.
