Just bought 86 k5 blazer with 700r4. I have adjusted the TV cable as shown here and other sites. Tranny seems to shift and act normal around town and freeway, the problem I'm having is after about 10 min. It starts to shift in and out of overdrive quickly . In out in out in out in out until I let off the gas. Can anyone steer me the right way?

That's called hunting. Could be the lock-up in the converter going bad. Try pulling the electrical plug on the driver's side of the transmission and see if it goes away when driving. The only thing that plug does is trigger the solenoid to lock the converter. Some are wired to a vacuum switch that could need replacing. No harm in driving without the plug in. Pull the plug first and if it stops, you kind of have it narrowed down to the lock-up. Some early 700r4s had hydraulic lock-up and then you're on your own.
