Hi !

I'm looking for informations about my engine. It's a 1984 305 built in Canada. So it has no feedback carb, no A.I.R from factory... It's rated 120kw, but I never heard of that power from a 305 in 1984...

Any information is welcome

Here in the US the LG4 305 in a full-size Chevrolet was rated at 150 horsepower.

info from the 1984 GM/Chevy Caprice pdf website

Yes 150hp is the "normal" specifications.

My car was sold new in Germany. Chevys export cars where built in Canada, so less emission stuff.

When the car was sold it was rated 160hp, which is surprising...
I wonder if 160hp is the real output or if it was an error !

84 Caprices with 305, sold new in Sweden, are rated 163hp... - which is exactly 120kW

I got the build sheet, and it says engine is a LG4.

I'm really curious... What makes 13hp more on Canadian LG4 ?!
