I have been accumulating parts for my 50 chevy project for the last 2 years. I purchased a firewall manual brake conversion kit from Walton Manufacturing with/Master cylinder, and proportion valve supplied by CCP.

This spring these parts were finally installed. The pedal assembly from Walton fit perfect and the master cylinder/proportion valve also fit like a glove. New brake lines, rubber hoses, rear wheel cylinders, front calipers, all new. Complete new brake system from 1 1/2 years of accumulated parts.

I could not achieve a brake pedal. After inspection, I found the proportion valve was leaking from the rod that protrudes from the front of it, under the rubber cap. I replaced the ccp proportion valve. No more leaks.

I still could not achieve a brake pedal so I replaced the ccp master cylinder. I now have brakes with perfect pedal pressure.

The problem is I have a new defective master cylinder and new defective proportion valve from ccp I can not return for a refund because they were purchased in advance (accumulating parts) prior to installation. This is the first time I have encountered a problem of this nature. Is there anything we can do to rectify this problem? Thanks.

I also had a bad master cylinder from them, I tried everything for months trying to get my brakes bled, when here on chevytalk guys said it must be a bad master cylinder.

Contacted cpp, and was told to keep bleeding.

I bought a brand new master cylinder just like it from Napa, brakes finally bled.

Contacted cpp again and was blown off.

I gave up on them at that time (what else can a customer do?)

My stuff was new, and they didn't take care of me, so that tells me they have no warranty, it's buyer beware.

Items are always under warranty to the original purchaser. Please forward me the invoice number by email or PM and I can look into this for you. Sorry for the delay in reply; I just got back from the SEMA show.
