Slow but steady deconstruction progress......
I'm keeping it drivable as long as possible.

Thanks Spas. I'm making progress when I can.

I'm enjoying watching your '61 build and looking forward to getting mine past the metal repairs so I can get on to the primer/paint phase.

I showed my neighbor, a retired metal worker who still access to his former employers equipment, my new quarter panel and asked for his advice on how match the inner profile for a patch panel to replace the first 3” of my inner wheel house .....

He made a simple cardboard profile of a couple locations and hooked me up with a variety of pieces with bends I know I could never make with my simple hand tools.

Looking forward to snip/cut/weld these into a nice patch ..... and I think I’m gonna buy myself at least 1” in fat tire space by hugging the quarter with the patch when mate it to the original wheelhouse.

Kudos to having generous neighbors !!!

I had wondered how things were going with you.

Hoping to see you driving it soon with the "BIG" grin you had on one of the other occasions.

Hang in there Jim...you are getting closer! Took 6 years but finally got mine on the road again in August. Unfortunately, it's parked for the winter here in Alaska. But the wife and I did get out and do some cruising a dozen times in September. Was worth the wait and I think she likes the car as much as I do...which is a bonus!

Rance -- thanks for the encouragement ..... I'm glad to be making progress again.

You '60 looks fantastic, I'm going after the same color combo but I'm debating whether paint roof white or red.
