Sold the house and moved the Impala to a storage unit while I get setup in new place. It was nice to hear it run again after a couple years even if it was just to get it out of the driveway and from the hauler into the storage unit. With the driveshaft rebuilt, a temp gas tank, and a new battery she started right up and I realized I'm one steering rag joint, one brake bleeding, and one alignment away from having a drivable rolling restoration while I finish metal repairs.

Finished rag joint rebuild, replaced Parking Brake pedal and connected cables, found an old school alignment shop for 1st alignment after front end rebuild w. 1" Hellwig anti-swaybar and a brake inspection. Spent some time with some polish and was surprised how well the bumper shined up. Reinstalled my makeshift "good enough for now" interior with homemade door panels & kick panels.

Does anyone have examples of how you mounted an exhaust that dumps out to the side just in front of rear tires?

Debating whether to add a mounting bracket attached to floor brace or rocker panel near front of rear tire.

As much as I like the sound of dumping the glasspacks under the front seat, I think its time to bend them up tighter to the floor and extend these to the dump out in front of the rear tires so I can keep finishing the trunk floor welding and still drive the car.

I love the duct tape seat cover trim. That stuff seems to match any interior.
Seriously, I wish I had just gotten the 6T on the road, then started working on the rebuild a little at a time.
As it is now, I am not getting to enjoy the car. I'm just working on it.

Thanks Griff, after not driving her for 3 1/2 years I'm just glad she's running again. I just went back and checked the date, I installed my temporary "custom" duct tape seat "upholstery" (including a few pieces denim house insulation padding) on 11/30/2014. I'm personally amazed the duct tape is holding up to 5 years of Phoenix summers.

I've taken her to 2 cruisin's so far .... the car guys love asking me about my in progress trunk metal repairs and i get as much traffic as the pretty shiny cars.
