Hey where are the Monzas in this section? They made it a lot easier to have an equivalent or better Vega conversion. Not to insult Vega owners!

I bought a '77 2+2 with a factory sun roof (bad) and the Vega four banger which was toast, 5 speed and 373 gears. I put in a pretty hot '68 327 from a Camaro which went in easy as pie with factory parts, including sway bars from a Monza wagon and gas shocks. That car was I'd say the most fun I've had and the easiest to drive. Manual steering and brakes too! I just had to heat and bend the shift rod because the V8 pushed the tranny back a bit. Oh and shorten the drive shaft.

Those Monzas had a pretty good racing history. I remember reading an article where they said they let Triumph put a V8 in their car at the time "to give Monzas and Corvettes some competition". There was a story where a Monza driver had such a huge lead he was babying it and a Porsche snuck up and passed him right at the finish line. And I saw a vintage race where a Monza had the pole while there was a '90 or so Mustang GT in there. Not to mention the gazmillion 1/4 mile Monzas and street cars out there...

I'm making a 502 1200+ HP city coupe. It will be bad censored when i'm done, I am adding some big road tires to the car (6 lug) 16 inch disk brake and 5 lug to the front. The cars name is going to be named after me (Phazma) Coil over springs and 6 speed trans. So i can drive it on the track and road.

I think it will be the first to have a 502.
