Thanks. We are happy with the color. Truly amazed at the performance and handling. We had to wait 500 miles to get above 4000 rpm...bt right at 550 miles we decided to open it up. Oh wow!

It s a bit tricky from a stop. If you give it much throttle it does break loose...but it follows the front tires very well. Our first race is april 18...i will be trying to go 150 plus there...but its 2000 ft roll racing so there may not be enough room.

We got a 5 point cage ordered so we are good down to 8.50. A pulley, air box and tune is another 100 hp....and on our drag tires we may get there. Our hope is mid tens on drag tires since it should run 10.90 on stock tires.

We get lots of looks and thumbs up. Yesterday we watched it from in a restaurant while we ate and a few cars pulled up and took pics. One kid was taking pics so i let him sit in it...and hubby let him fire it up. He was beyond thrilled.

THere have only been a couple of negatives. One is the dealership were asses...still are. And the paint has orange peel effect that needs buffed out and they didnt put the front splitter on and are claiming the z06 dont come with one (but they ordered it for us out of the kindness of tger hearts...ya rght). And also people instantly stereotype us as snobs or sa they like built not bought. Believe me we have lots of built not bought...and we are still the same humble people. I figure tey have their own problems causing them to hate...but still...i am no snob.

Thanks again. Tat...you cant even imagine the enjoyment it is providing...lol. i am hooked...lol.

Thats what I figured. His mom said he had been waiting to see his first c7 z06. He couldnt get out of his moms car soon enough, lol. And he didnt go to the passenger side...he went for the drivers seat. Smart kid. The mom kinda got unnerved when he started it, lol. I bet the kid is still on cloud nine. It was one of those small gestures that can make a big impact. We invited him to come hang out with us at the drags too. We may have gained a fan. It made my day making his day.

Nice. I like it.

Did you notice the difference of the taillights? Ours are clear until brakes are applied. Not sure if all the 2015 are like that or just the z06.

Thats kinda what hubby says (with a few expletives)...but i just dont want people thinking that of me. I can get over it, though. Cuz also a lot of people are friendly just because its a vette...lol. if I were out in my 51 or one of our mopars it would be a different crowd looking.

Everywhere we go we get comments and thumbs up. Lots of people take pics. That has surprised me.

Bob saw the video....and thinks we are gonna get into trouble, lol. I cant wait to replicate it on track so i can show it.

Thanks everyone. We lve it. I have only racedone race but i beat a gt500 by a lot. It was on an airport runway...so it was slipping and sliding. Hubby beat tons of fast cars there.

Then we took it to hpde on the road course. Hubby got her up to 145 on the straights but i hung around 130 as my top mph. But i wasnt using all the throttle. Hubby was even comfortably going 120 in the rain...she sticks.

I will lok into the covers...especially with light brown leather. Thanks for the info.

Tomorrow wil be our first time on a prepared track. I will post up timeslis and pics.

Clear taillight lens is Z06 only. Unless it's built for export, then it has red lens as do the regular models.

He who dies with the most toys doesn't necessarily win, but had more fun getting to the finish line.

Congrats on the Vette!

My only concern is your break-in procedure for your clutch, engine? Besides the 500 miles for the engine under 4k rpms. How is the oil filter condition after 500 miles? Do you plan on going 1,000 miles for complete clutch break-in and engine heat cycles? Then go hog wild?

Don't go BROKE trying to look RICH. Act your WAGE!!
