Anyone experience this before. Just started happening last night.
Chirps when idling. Squeals like the dickens when pushing the accelerator. Significant loss of power. Tried a little soap on the belts. Then a squirt of water. No good. Don't see any noticeable wobble on the belts.
Taking it in next week to have a mechanic take a look at it.

We are seeing harmonic balancer problems on these cars.

Sorry I have not responded sooner. Yep, you were exactly correct. It was the harmonic balancer. Once replaced, it runs like a champ & not a chirp. Thanks.

Or you could ask someone like me who works at a Chevy dealership and sees these problems on a weekly basis.
