FYI for '12 v6 auto owners....

My 2012 started a vibration at 9000 miles; now with 9500 its getting worse and it fits the service bulletin GM put out on 2012 V6 automatics.
I feel it in 6th aroung 42/43 mph at 1250 rpm. A little more or less throttle and it goes away. Apparently bad TCC is the culprit. Feels like a really rough road in the above parameters.

It goes in on Tuesday and i'm hoping its something simple but it has all the signs of a bad convertor.

Well they brought in a trans guy who test drove it and said it was normal. Not.

Seems to be getting louder now after three weeks. I printed out the service bulletin and will try again. My biggest concern is if this is electronic or material is disintegrating into my trans fluid.

One year later...

Just under 12,000 miles now and the dealer said its obviously a torque converter. Rumbles louder now with some vibration in the 43 to 48 mph range.

Now the waiting begins for the part to come in.

Its been about three months now with the new converter in and they also replaced the valve body too. Runs great, more aggresive shifts now compared to even when it was new btw. The only issue is at a certain rpm you can still hear a resonance. They tell me its the mounting point for the engine/trans cradle and shimming didn't make it go away. Oh well, trying to chain the beast I guess. Overall, happy
