What do I need to install a 5.7 liter vortec in my 78 Malibu? Intake manifold ? Carburetor? Etc.! The motor came out of an 2000 chevy 2500! I'm not looking for a ton of horsepower, just enough to slam you back in the seats when leaving a red light to show these little punk kids what it's about. Lol! Any help is much appreciated !

Welcome to ChevyTalk.

You're going to need the computer, harness, a compatible fuel tank out of a car with a Vortec so you get the high pressure fuel system, high pressure fuel lines, etc.

Or you can go the low pressure way and get a Vortec intake for a decent 650 carb.

You'll get lots of response if you post this question down on the performance forum. Lots of guys have done something like this and can help you head in the right direction.
