I also got the other well tacked back together. This one suffered more damage upon removal, but I can patch it and make it nice again! I got all the cut edges matched back up with pin point accuracy!

The wheel wells are welded back together, seam sealed, primed and ready to mock up in their higher placements tomorrow. I also patched a partially rusted rear mud flap for the driver side.

Mock up is going well on the raised wheel wells! Hope to have these done and filled in by next week!

Keep up the great work! And thanks for taking all these photos as you go along. I was about to tackle raising my wheel tubs on my 52 as well and it helps immensely seeing how others are doing it.

Thanks! Glad to help! Today I finished filling in the raised driver side wheel well. It's a bit "patchwork", but it is strong and it's the best I can do without owning special rolling tools.

I'm glad I save all my scraps! I was able to either rebuild or fabricate all the front edging of the driver side wheel well (facing the backseat) today! My favorite part was making new "bend tab" brackets on the sheet metal bending break.

Almost ready to set the body on the frame for good. Wheel wells are seam sealed and painted. Frame got final coat of paint. Tomorrow I hope to run brake lines and the next day set her down for good!

Things have been "off and on" these past few days. I've started mocking up brakelines but I'm still waiting on some parts to be shipped. It will be nice having new self adjusting Bendix brakes in back! I'm going to clean and paint one of my engines today and hope to drop it in this weekend. I still have to order a T5 adapter yoke and have a drive shaft made. It looks the original parking brake may not work well with the open drive line, so I may order a Lokar floor mount. I also successfully relocated the axle vent, and the two brake hose mounting tabs on the rearend so they won't interfere with the 4 link or bag plates. The axle vent involved drilling and threading a new hole, so that was a nail biter! Lots of little details, but its keeping me busy while we are quarantined at home! Here are some pics!

That green is "far out man" I like it!
For the driveshaft I used a Astro shaft 60in eye to eye, scrapped the funky Astro slip yoke.Used a Camero yoke.
