On my 87 MC I am getting static from the front right dash speaker and I do not know how to tell if its the speaker or the stereo? What ohms and watts should these have? I removed one speaker but there is not any information on it. Thanks
These are 4 ohm speakers. I have an 87 and had the same thing happen. The paper cone on the speaker just wore out over time. Pioneer makes a 3.5 inch one that just barely fits. Most other brands are too deep to fit. If you get replacements make sure the speaker is shallow. Also an angled screwdriver is needed to get the back screws.
