We replaced all the door gaskets on our '79 van and the sliding door needs to come forward. We have the chiltons but it is not very helpful in its description for the adjustment. Any tips?

Also we replaced the striker on the upper rear hinge of the door and for some reason it is catching when you open the door. Im afraid the new one is going to snap and break just like the old one did. Please help!

What broke exactly?
I have problems with my sliding door dropping and breaking the hinge assembly. I hate my sliding door so much. I’m thinking of getting a gull wing kit instead of looking for expensive old hinges!

I'm not familiar with sliding door adjustments.
I did find a weatherstrip installation video.

Can you find example pics to view?
