Got any photos of what a new American classic "should" look like?

Just my personal opinion but looks wise I'd say the F**D Mustang of the last few years.

Max

I'm originally from the ONCE great city of Flint, Michigan. The birthplace of General Motors, where A C Spark Plug was formed and headquartered, where the first Corvettes were hand built, and where my 1955 Chevy was made.

From a sales standpoint, I`d have to agree. The retro look Mustang, AND the Dodge Challenger have both sold a lot of units. Everywhere you go, you see them on the road. Seems to show that a lot of people like that retro look. That`s why I couldn`t understand WHY Chevy didn`t jump on the bandwagon. The re-introduction of the Camaro was close, but it could have come a little closer. And with the rounded lines of the early Corvettes, it would have been SIMPLE to do a retro `Vette.

The only thing I`m sure of, is that I`m not sure of anything.

What else would you expect from Government Motors?

Ford is going away from retro. Rumor is the next gen Mustang won't be recognizable as a Mustang. Car makers of sportier cars are trying to attract a younger buyer and so cutting edge design (I guess as defined by Europe and Japan) will be seen more.

Of course, that younger buyer has to be able to afford that car.

I am loving the new corvette design.

Taillights are okay, prefer them to be round but it'd be hard to have round taillights in an angular car. Other than that, I think it's fantastic looking!

I am sure what I think about the new vett will not effect what GM OR ford or Chrysler build since I am done buying new vehicles. They cost way too much. My vehicles have 107000, 207000 and my oldest car has 150000(my 57).

I bought them all with 100000-200000 miles on them.
